At the Spetses Festival (1977), The Spetses Players presented original works never before performed. These performances fused myth, local history, and avant-garde creativity — a rare legacy of feminist, multilingual, grassroots theatre on a Greek island. The images depicted are from the 1979 play “Bouboulitsa’s Dream,” performed in 2013. Leda Papaconstantinou, born 1945 in Ambelonas, Larissa, Greece, studied Graphic Design at the Athens Technological Institute Doxiades, Fine Arts at the Loughton College of Art (London) and Maidstone College of Art (Kent Institute of Art and Design, University of Kent).
